NEC Tape – Approved Temporary Flooring NEC Tape – 38mm x 50 Metres

PSA4105 is a double-sided blue polythene tape with differential adhesive, coated with a removable emulsion acrylic adhesive on the open side and a permanent synthetic rubber adhesive on the closed side. The product is clearly printed as ‘NEC Approved’ for identification purposes.

This NEC-approved tape is the perfect product for temporary retention of carpet and non-slip mats, and it is ideal for exhibition applications. This tape is approved by the NEC (National Exhibition Centre).

Application uses

This tape is designed for exhibition use as on carpet and non-slip mats in the exhibition hall.

Carrier Information

The carrier for this tape is Blue Polythene.

Liner information

The liner is made of Brown 80-mic silicon paper.

Size information

This tape is 50 metres in length and 38mm wide.

Adhesive information

The adhesive on this NEC carpet tape is a hot melt synthetic rubber (closed side) / emulsion acrylic adhesive (open side), which enables a clean peel and minimal residue to be left behind. As a result, NEC has approved the use of it in their exhibition halls as a flooring tape.

PSA 4105 is specifically designed for temporary carpet installations direct to exhibition hall floors. It is
easily peeled from carpet backing and exhibition venue floors.
We do not recommend using on marble or wooden floors, as well as floors that have been treated or varnished,
as this may cause residual adhesive to remain on floor surface.

How to apply this tape

Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from grease and dirt.

We recommend using a cleaning agent such as Propan-2-ol (IPA).

Please note the manufacturer’s safety instructions should be followed, and customers are advised to ensure the compatibility of the solvent and their substrate. Ideal bonding substrates are clean, dry, flat, smooth, dust-free, and non-porous.

Low temperatures may increase the risk of condensation, reducing the tack of the product. As a result, life expectancy will vary with temperature and humidity.

This tape may be applied by hand directly from a roll, applying even pressure.
