50mm x 50mtr Tamper Evident Carton Sealing Tape

PSA490 is a red printed Tamper Evident Tape that “VOIDS” when peeled back from the surface that it is bonded to. Upon removal the text “OPENED” is left on the packaging as well as the tape itself, clearly displaying that the packaging it is protecting has been opened. This product is primarily designed for use on cardboard boxes in the packaging industry, but can also be used on wood and plastic packaging.

Application surface information

Apply the tape to the box using pressure either by hand or using a carton tape dispenser. Care should be taken to unwind the tape evenly and not too quickly to avoid any pre-voiding. If applying this tape at speed via automatic dispensers, trials should be carried out to assess the tapes suitability. the release of this product can be adapted to suit different applications.

Condition of use

The tape should be applied at a temperature of 15C and 25C in a dry environment; it is advisable not to apply the tape at temperatures below 10C.

Note that at lower or higher temperatures, the tape may react differently, depending on chemical composition or formulation.

For maximum efficiency please take the following into account:

• The substrate must be dry and free of dust
• Do not apply tape on surfaces which have been treated or contaminated with anti-adhesive materials
• The quality of voiding will be determined by the quality of the board the tape is applied to
• The surface must be free of plasticizers or other chemical agents incompatible with the tape
• Performance is enhanced by increased pressure on application
• Always test tape on a substrate to insure optimum performance

Storage Information

It is recommended that tape be stored at a temperature of 15C to 25C with a maximum relative humidity of 65%; material must therefore be kept away from heat sources, if possible in its original packaging and avoid exposure to light. In case of storage at temperatures below 10C tapes must be brought to room temperature before use.

Shelf life

The functional characteristics of the adhesive tapes are generally maintained for a period of no less than 12 months unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer.
