Product description
PSA Solutions is now an Official UK Frog Tape supplier. These FrogTapes are 41.1 metres in height and are suitable for various surfaces, including multi-surface, delicate, gloss, and satin surfaces.
As a result, these painter tapes are designed for use on Cured painted walls, Wood trim, Glass, Metal, Unfinished wood, Carpet, Stone and other similar surfaces.
Clean Removal
FrogTape will remove cleanly from most surfaces for up to 21 days and even 7 days in direct sunlight.
What makes FrogTape different from other painters’ tapes is that it is the only masking tape treated with PaintBlock Technology and is not just another masking tape as a result.
What are FrogTapes used for?
These tapes are perfectly designed as self-adhesive masking tape for masking painting, car badge adhesive tape, or decal mounting tape for cars, vans, and other types of vehicles, as well as for interior decorating and to protect anywhere that will come into contact with the paint.
These masking tapes are ideally used for / on:
- Painting tape
- Painters and decorators tapes
- Cured painted walls
- Wood trim
- Glass
- Metal
- Unfinished wood
- Carpet
- Stone
- Similar applications & surfaces.
What is Paint Block Technology?
PaintBlock technology is a super-absorbent polymer that reacts with latex paint and instantly gels to form a micro-barrier. This micro barrier seals the edges of the tape, preventing paint from bleeding onto the surface.

The answer is PaintBlock Technology. FrogTape is the only painter’s tape treated with PaintBlock Technology.

How To Use FrogTape
There are no special techniques – or methods – that you need to use with FrogTape, but here are some general tips for applying this tape to trim or other surfaces.
Please Note: FrogTape was designed for use with emulsion paints for interior/exterior home painting projects. If you wish to use this masking tape in another application, you must test it before using it.
How do you apply FrogTape?
Firstly, clean the surface to be masked, and make sure it is dust-free and dry. If the surface has been recently painted, make sure the paint has cured (dried throughout).
For accurate placement, adhere to this masking tape in short sections to avoid stretching the tape, and make sure it is flush with the edge that you will be painting.
Next, using a putty knife or 5-in-1 tool, press the tape you laid to burn it to the surface you are masking. If you are painting more than one coat of paint, it is a good idea to remove and re-apply the tape in between each coat. If you are taping on a textured surface, some specialized taping techniques may be required. See the How to use this tape on textured surfaces below for more information.
How do you remove FrogTape?
Remove this tape immediately after you are finished painting, as this will help prevent the paint from bridging over the tape and tearing when you remove it. When emulsion paint begins to dry, it becomes rubbery (like an elastic band) and tends to pull. When removing this tape, remove the tape slowly and pull at a 90-degree angle.
If the new paint does begin to tear, gently score the edges with a razor blade. If the tape begins to tear the wallboard when it is being removed, this likely means you have masked on a poorly bonded surface. Try softening the tape’s adhesive with a blow dryer first.
How to use this tape on textured surfaces
Getting a clean line on a textured surface with FrogTape alone can be tricky. It is virtually impossible to fill in all of the nooks and crannies that a textured surface has. If FrogTape doesn’t get completely pressed down into every crevice on your textured wall, paint will leak underneath.
If your surface is lightly textured, using a specialized technique may not be necessary. Be sure to firmly press the tape edges down using a knife or 5-in-1 tool. It is always a good idea to test your taping skills before taping off and painting an entire room.
For best results on textured surfaces follow these steps

Step 1
Apply the tape directly onto Wall A along the corner where it meets Wall B. For this example, Wall B is the surface to be painted.

Step 2
Secure the tape by pushing it down with your fingers into each “nook and cranny”.

Step 3
Run a flat tool firmly down the length of the tape to ensure further it is pressed down into the textured surface. You can also use a 5-in-1 tool.

Step 4
Apply a very thin coat of the original colour of Wall A onto Wall B and along the edge of the tape. This will activate PaintBlock and seal the edge of the tape.

Step 5
Let the paint dry.

Step 6
Using the colour with which you want to paint Wall B, apply a coat of paint along the edge of the tape.

Step 7
Paint the rest of your wall.

Step 8
Run a box cutter or utility knife lightly along the edge of the tape in the corner. Be careful not to press too firmly as to harm the surface of your wall.

Step 9
Remove the tape at 180-degree angle at a slow and steady pace.

Step 10
Enjoy your newly painted accent wall and sharp paint lines.
