50 Metre Anti-shatter mirror backing tapes are a 91-micron clear polyester tape that is used as an anti-shatter / mirror backing tape. If the mirror glass is then broken or shattered – this laminated backing tape keeps all the glass in place & prevents it from shattering into thousands of dangerous shards.
This then allows for a much safer environment rather than having shattered glass all over the area, and easier for the glass that has shattered to be cleaned up and disposed of.
Tape Construction
These adhesive tapes are designed as biaxially oriented polypropylene safety backing tapes coated with a unique acrylic-based pressure-sensitive adhesive. They have high tack and high adhesion, which gives them excellent holding power.

How to apply these tapes?
This adhesive tape is simple to apply. Firstly, make sure your surface is clean and free of grease and dirt. Once it is, please remove it from the roll, put it into position, and press down. It is as simple as that.

Application information
Consistent pressure must be applied when laminating pressure-sensitive adhesive systems to substrates such as glass. Slightly elevated temperatures will also assist with instant grab.
