Surface preparation information
This glazing tape must be applied to clean, dry and flat surfaces. A 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol/water and a clean rag are recommended for moderate cleaning requirements. A stronger solvent, such as high-flash naphtha, may be required to clean oils and other contaminants.
Change any cleaning rags often and allow the surface to dry before application.
Surface preparation is paramount for achieving the required bond when using this pressure-sensitive adhesive. Read our Surface Preparation and Application Guide for more information.
Application information
This glazing tape must be applied to clean, dry and flat surfaces. Position this tape on the glazing leg to align the tape edge flush with the sight line.
Initial adhesion is obtained by applying firm, uniform pressure to the tape during application before liner removal.
The tape should be knife cut and butted closely together at corners without overlapping. A bead of an approved sealant may be applied at the butt joint after liner removal.
After application, the liner should not be removed until the glass is ready for placement; avoid any unnecessary adhesive exposure.
This glazing tape should be compressed at least 10% for optimum adhesive performance and to provide an effective weather seal.
Structural glazing beads and stops are recommended, and windows and doors should be stored in a position where the weight of the glass is on the tape.
Setting blocks are recommended for all window and door systems.
Recommended application temperature Information
The recommended temperature for this tape is: 60°F to 100°F (16°C to 38°C).
Compatibility information
This adhesive glazing tape is compatible with most quality glazing sealants and components, and it is the user’s responsibility to determine overall compatibility. If you need more clarification, please contact us.
Storage information
This glazing tape should be stored indoors at 60°F to 85°F (16°C to 38°C), 45% to 55% relative humidity.
Shelf life under these conditions is one year.
For improved initial adhesion in cold temperatures, store this tape and sash/frame materials in recommended conditions until application.
Additional information
Due to the variety of window and door designs, applications, and performance requirements, PSA Solutions Ltd recommends testing this product for specific requirements before use.
