What is T Rex Duct Tape?

T Rex Duct tape is a ferociously strong tape, with an all Weather skin, which holds longer and sticks stronger� than ordinary Duct tapes. It has double the thickness of standard Duct Tapes and comes with a thick, aggressive adhesive designed to hold to rough, dirtier surfaces. Alongside this, it has a UV resistant backing for long-lasting outdoor applications, a Premium adhesive and high tensile construction.

TRex duct tape is made with an advanced co-extrusion process which prevents delamination of the tape and has an easy clean tear for quick repairs.

What is the adhesive used on this range tapes?

The adhesive used on these tapes is a Natural Rubber adhesive.

Thickness information

The Trex tapes are 1.49mm in thickness or 1/17 of an inch.

How do you apply this type of tape?

When applying this tape the surfaces to be bonded should be: dry, dust and grease-free and thoroughly clean. Avoid touching the exposed adhesive surface of the tape as this impairs its performance. The ideal cleaning method should incorporate use of a solvent, such as Isopropyl alcohol.

To attain the optimum bond strength sufficient pressure should be applied to the tape to ensure a good adhesive “wet out” on the substrates. This tape is a pressure-sensitive adhesive, and the best results are achieved with maximum surface contact under pressure.

The bond strength will reach its optimum strength after 24 hours.
