Spray Adhesive Aerosol Cans (500ml)

These aerosol spray contact glue cans are CFC free, a multipurpose sprayable adhesive with low odour, developed to bond a wide variety of substrates. It has an excellent grab and a long open time. The product is delivered through a hose and spray gun system, which means the application is clean and efficient. After use, the gun is locked off and the system remains ready for instant re-use.

These spray mount glue will adhere to a wide variety of items, including: wood, metals, rubber, fabric, most plastics, cardboard, polythene and concrete, as well as decorative laminates. This adhesive can also be used to bond expanded polystyrene.

How to use contact adhesives?

How to use these liquid contact adhesives varies depending on the type of glue you are trying to apply. A couple of ways you can apply some of these are listed below; however, you will need to seek further information once you determine what type of spray adhesive you are wanting to use.

For our snagging can spray adhesives they can be used by:

USE IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA

• Surfaces to be bonded should be clean, dry and free from dust and grease
• Substrates should be conditioned before assembly. This is particularly important with laminates. Leave for 48 hours at 20�C with a relative humidity of 45-55%. Air should be able to circulate freely around the components
• Connect the hose to the canister and the spray gun to the hose and tighten the connections
• Open the valve on the canister. The valve should remain open until the canister is used up. Use the locking nut on the gun after use. Turning off the valve will result in the adhesive drying in the hose and gun causing blockages
• Hold the spray gun at 90� to the surface and apply a uniform generous coat of adhesive, ensuring 80-100% coverage
• Move the gun in parallel to the surface and pay particular attention to the edges
• Do not allow the adhesive to puddle as this can cause an unevenness that can ‘show’ through the laminate
• On porous surfaces, it may be necessary to apply a second coat. Always apply to the laminate first and spray one substrate horizontally and the other vertically
• It is important to remember that Easy-Bond is a contact adhesive and forms its bond by sticking to itself, so there must be sufficient adhesive for this to happen
• Allow the adhesive to tack up and protect from contamination whilst this happens. The adhesive is ready when it feels dry to the touch and does not transfer to the fingertips

How to apply 17.5kg, 22L, 110L, and 110kg, spray glues?

Where as for our 17.5kg, 22L, 110L, and 110kg, spray pots and canisters you would apply these as such:

These glues have been designed to be applied to two surfaces to be bonded together. Make sure that surfaces are clean, dry and free from dirt, dust, oil, loose paint, wax or grease, etc. For best results, the temperature of the adhesive and the surfaces being bonded should be between 60 degrees F – 80 degrees F (16�C – 27�C).

Use with adequate ventilation. When possible we recommend shaking the canister well before using. Attach and secure hose tightly onto the spray gun with required tip. Attach the other end of the hose onto the canister. Make sure the hose-valve connections are securely tight. Open the valve on the canister slowly and fully, check for leaks during this process. Unlock the trigger on the spray gun to start spraying.

Prior to use, Check compatibility by spraying a small test patch of the adhesive on the substrate. This product may degrade some substrates. Spray about 10-20 cm (4inches – 8inches) away at a 90� angle to the surface, applying a uniform, even coat of adhesive to obtain 80% to 100% coverage of the surface. If necessary, spray another coat of adhesive in areas that appear to need more adhesive. Spray both surfaces to be bonded, one surface vertically and the other surface horizontally. Allow the adhesive to tack off until no adhesive transfers to the knuckle when touched.

Adhere surfaces and press together with adequate pressure. A roller is recommended to apply a uniform pressure to achieve maximum strength. Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure.

If the spray tip clogs, unscrew the spray tip from the gun and clean with a solvent such as lacquer thinner or acetone. Do not use a pin on the spray tip orifice.
