PSA10B, is an: open cellular polyurethane foam, with no plasticizers, impregnated with a modified flame retardant acrylic dispersion. One side of this foam tape has a strong acrylic self-adhesive – for locating purposes.
This tape will expand from 10mm – its original thickness – to 50mm.
Made from Polyurethane
As this: expansion foam tape, is made from: Polyurethane, it has several distinct advantages over similar tapes made from other inferior materials. These advantages are:
- Abrasion resistant
- Oil and solvent resistant
- Higher load bearing capacity than conventional rubber
- Higher Tear resistant than rubber – between 500-100 Ibs./linear inch
- Weather resistant
- Excellent noise dampening properties
- Electrical insulating properties
- Heat and cold resistant
Application uses for Expanding Foam Tape

- Installation of window & door frames, and supporting structures
- Sealing between concrete or roof elements
- Sealing of: ceiling / sky / roof lights
- In log houses
- Brick and block work
- Partitions
- Precast concrete panels
- Conservatory hip / ridge lines and sectional buildings
- Noise & vibration insulation around ventilation and air exchange devices
- Automotive industry
- Used in the manufacture of mobile and recreational homes
- Where high demands on joint constructions are required – this has exceptional properties in this area
This tape’s use within the modern building industry
This sealing tape has a very wide range of applications within a modern building – where today’s demands on reliable sealing solutions have significantly increased over the past few years.

Sealing and waterproofing joints
Due to its fine qualities, this expansion foam tape has a self-expanding PU foam sealant with open pores. Along with this, this self-expanding sealant makes it suitable for: sealing and making joints extra weatherproof, while allowing the joints to breathe and the moisture to vaporize whilst maintaining elasticity.
Expands after opening
Plasticizer free, and impregnated with modified acrylic dispersion and added fire preventing fillers. This sealing tape has a strong acrylic self-adhering tape along one side, and after opening the sealant expands slowly in air and fills uneven surfaces.
Minimises the risk of mould, fenestration and prevents: dry rot and fungal growth in building structures
It is also: Ultra Violet (UV), wind and rain resistant. These features minimise the risk of mould in building structures, and is used to resist weather ingress in fenestration; while preventing dry rot and fungal growth on adjacent building materials.

Used in the manufacture of mobile and recreational homes
Increasingly used in the manufacture of mobile and recreational homes where insulation against noise and vibration are of utmost consideration.
